The storm that hit the Upper Savinja Valley at the beginning of August did not spare the Snow Cave either. Heavy rains triggered an avalanche and damaged the floor of the “udornica” (open part of the cave) and the entrance, so the cave remains closed to visitors until further notice. We hope we will be able to repair the damage once the conditions in the Upper Savinjska Valley stabilize and the roads are passable again.
